One thing that is the biggest deterrent of your thoughts on
success. Worrying. The mere act of it leads to a lot of destruction of
goals, hopes, and dreams. Some people will argue for the validity of
their worries. They say things like, "This is a huge bill. How can I not
worry about it?" Or, "Can I give my speech tomorrow. I'm so afraid of
public speaking." Well I'm here to tell you that there is no valid
reason to ever waste your time on worrying.
Worrying is one of the biggest time wasting activities that we can partake in. There is nothing positive that comes out of the act of worrying. It does not cause us to move into the action. When most people worry, they tend to just keep thinking about the problem over and over again. There mind goes into multiple tangents. They go through mental movies of worst-case scenarios. The problem with this is that studies find that most worse case scenarios never happen. So it's all for nothing.
When it comes to the law of attraction, the act of worrying is even more damaging. During this time, your thoughts on success become non-existent. When the person worries, their mind starts focusing on what they don't want to happen. When you focus on something you don't want, it becomes your reality.
Worrying is also very strong emotion. The emotion mixed with the visualization of a problem will also bring forth that problem into your reality. The act of feeling worry will only bring you more things to worry about.
It is the most powerful de-motivator in existence. When you think of negative thoughts in this way, you stop wanting to pursue your goals. Your mind puts up mental blockages. This leads to things like writer's block, lack of creativity, and distraction seeking.
People who tend to worry often try to find ways to keep their mind off of what they're worrying about. So they do things like watch TV, play video games, and, in some cases, abuse drugs.
Worrying causes huge amounts of stress. Stress causes things such as high blood pressure, weight gain, and heart failure. It not only messes with your mind, but puts a huge strain on your body.
People tend to binge eat when they worry about things. I am also guilty of this. I choose chocolate as my poison of choice. When you're scared or worried it also pumps up your adrenal glands. Which in turn, makes your heart pump faster and your blood to circulate faster. The fight or flight response. But since there is no physical danger, we don't burn off the adrenaline. The excess amount of adrenaline causes your body to store fat.
I completely understand that all humans worry. We all will probably fall into this way of thinking from time to time. It's natural. We cannot always keep our thoughts on success 100% of the time. When it happens, don't try to fight it. Just accept it and gently guide your mind to refocus on what you want. It's detrimental to actually resist worrying. As the saying goes, "What you resist persists."
Also exercise regularly. Exercise helps your brain releases endorphins. Endorphins help you feel good. And when you feel good you worry less.
